True, the darkness increases, the worthiness of the generation continually decreases, but although our generation is on the level of a heel, and is called “the footsteps of Moshiach,” the power of self-sacrifice can be found specifically in the “heel.” Thus when necessary, it is possible to place the heel even into extremely hot or cold water.
